From Saudi Arabia, we see an article speaking of a renewal of hostilities within the Sudan. That is one way to put it. The practice known as an Islamic jihad, is, in deed, and action, hostile.

Vote may reignite Sudan war: Saud

RIYADH: Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal expressed Saudi Arabia’s fears on Saturday that Sudan's up coming referendum on the south's independence could reignite violence in the country rather than bring peace.

War, or jihad is a certainty,as many commands authenticated this religious "right". This is of course a "right" granted Mohammad, by the little voice, in the head of the "prophet". Mohammad, he is the perfect man. ( as he, himself said, in Qur'an 68:4, 33:21)

This perfect man, I hesitate to inform you, had an inordinate fondness of pre-pubescent little girls. As well as equally strange, and all consuming inappropriate hate, of the Jewish people living all around him. Finally showing it self in the murder and ethnic cleansing of all he could lay his hands on. This would seem to set a poor example in dealing with the "other ". It's clear "unsettling" manifestations or disregard for the life of the "other", are seen all around the world today.

And that leads to another article

Muslim Slavery Resurgent as Sudan Arabs Kidnapping Black Africans

Making the next question, obvious . Why when African men, appear before the United Nations and complain about the ongoing human rights violations, is it ignored ? could it be the organization of Islamic states ?

The last major case took place in the early 19th century when Muhammad Ali [1805 - 49], an Ottoman soldier of Albanian descent, was attempting to create an army to make himself independent of Ottoman rule. In 1820 he sent both his son and son-in-law south from Egypt on military campaigns to capture young African males whom he wanted to enslave and then train to serve as his new army.

Slavery is part of the jihad (the booty), it is also part of the open U.N. record. I have a seeded article regarding this.

Sudan. On 23 March 1999 he was twice stopped on a ‘point of order’ by the delegation of Sudan before he could ask a key question on genocidal character of the war in Sudan” In 1992, the regime in Khartoum declared Jihad in Khartoum against the people of southern Sudan and the Nuba mountains. Since then, Jihad has been declared again and again.

I ask this very important question: is the Jihad a religious right of those who declare and wage it or is it a violation of the human rights of the people against whom it is declared and waged?] (21)

[A day later the former Sudanese Prime Minister Al-Sadiq Al-Mahdi sent his letter to Mary Robinson, in which he referred to Jihad and slavery in Sudan – his letter was widely circulated at the Commission. Under the title, War Crimes, he asked (his 5th question): “Is it legitimate for the ruling regime in an Islamic State to call for a JIHAD against its citizens, be they Muslims or Christians?” He concluded by writing that: although no one would justify slavery today, under shar’ia, “the traditional concept of JIHAD does allow slavery as a by-product.”]

Mohammad Ali and his sons Ismail and the Ibrahim, (Ibahim went on to conquer Mecca at the request of his father. Defeating the first proponents of the Wahhabi movement) Were largely responsible for the start of the Islamic genocide in the Sudan, at the dawn of the 19th century (1820) it began in earnest. It continues still now, in stops and starts, unabated ,unreported, and unapologetically it slowly but surely, ends the life of our fellow man in truly staggering numbers.

Darfur and to a larger degree the Sudan as a whole, are a classic example of imperialism. Islamic imperialism and religious supremacist ideology, acted upon by the adherents of said orthodox teachings, which are contained within its "holy" text. It is not only the dominant Sunni Islamic theocracies that have cast their lustful eye toward the grand prize. (the complete submission of the Sudan to the will and obligations of Islamic ideology). Going on near two hundred years now, of forceful "jihad" -Darwa. They (the rest of southern Sudanese people) have not "fully" submitted.

Iran has been a continuing partner in the genocide of the people of the Sudan. One of the few books dealing with this touchy subject is ISLAMIC FUNDAMENTALISM BY MOHAMMAD MOHADDESSIN, it paints a frightening picture, see chapter 8

At about the same time, Western intelligence sources reported the dispatch to Sudan of a contingent of one to two thousand Iranian Revolutionary Guards. The Supreme Command of the Sudanese Armed Forces stated that in meetings between Sudan's military commanders and Iranian Defense Minister Torkan "the two sides reviewed developments in military relations and cooperation and exchange of experts."27 Subsequently reports on Sudan's attempts to establish a military unit similar to Iran's Revolutionary Guards Corps came to light.28 The Sudanese leadership's foreign affairs counselor visited Tehran to get guidance on setting up such a force.29 On March 31, 1992, the formation of the Popular Defense Forces (PDF) of Sudan was made public. As a Western journalist wrote: "Their khaki outfits made in Iran introduces these young troops who are ready to fight a Jihad, or holy war. The PDF forces trained to march with a gun and recite the Quran are part of Sudan's new Islamic forces. They are modeled after Iran's Revolutionary Guards and reported by some Western observers to be trained by Iranians."30

Reacting to these developments, the U.S. State Department announced, "It is obvious that very close political ties are developing between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Sudan's National Islamic Front which includes Iran's support for Sudan's paramilitary Popular Defense Forces."31 Some American analysts expressed the view that "Sudan, which is being supported by Iranian money and know-how, will be another Lebanon very soon, becoming a base for the export of terrorism."32 Because, as one expert put it, "Iran has tried in the past to export revolution, but Sudan is the first place where they have had a regime that is a willing supporter."33

Clear signs confirm this assessment: The mullahs have spent $20 million to build a main center in Khartoum and dispatched teams of Revolutionary Guards to Sudan for protection and security. The mullahs' top agent in Sudan, Majid Kamal, held the same post in Beirut during the 1980s and was active in the formation of the Hizbullah.34

Perhaps Majid Kamal is learning valuable lessons, that could be used to help solve the "Palestine" question ?

the "holy" Quran http://www.islamawakened.com/Quran/7/4/default.htm may provide a clue.

How many a township have We destroyed! As a raid by night, or while they slept at noon, Our terror came unto them.

In the Sudan, it is the devils on horseback (the janjaweed) not hezbollah, who best embrace the jihadi tradition of the perfect man (Mohammad 33:21) ?

The United Nations International Commission of Inquiry on Darfur adopted a typically questionable definition of “Janjaweed”. It noted that there were two “precisions” in a definition of “Janjaweed”, that attackers were Arab and armed with modern weapons.

http://darfurinformation.com/darfur-in-perspective/page-5.asp

is this a valid explanation,or is there more to discover if we look ?

Dily, a Sudanese Arab, recounts how for three years he and his fellow Janjawid charged the farming villages of Darfur on their camels and horses, raking the huts with gunfire and shouting: “Kill the slaves. Kill the slaves.”He reckons he attacked about 30 villages in all, and cannot count the people he shot. The villages were invariably destroyed, he says. The homes were burnt to the ground and the men, women and children killed — sometimes with the help of government airstrikes. If there were survivors “they would be left there . . . They couldn’t get help. Sometimes they made it to camps but mostly they died of thirst or starvation”

Dily is a rarity in that wretched conflict. Filled with disgust, he finally escaped the Janjawid’s clutches and last month, with the help of “people smugglers”, reached Britain, where he is now seeking political asylum. He expresses remorse. He is willing to talk, and the story he tells flatly contradicts the Sudanese Government’s claims that it has no control over the Janjawid — the predominantly Arab “devils on horseback” who have driven two million of Darfur’s black Africans into camps and killed at least 200,000.

If you are a typical westerner, with a Judea, Christian upbringing. You may fail to understand the religious component involved. I don't blame you. It goes against everything you know or have ever thought about religion, and the concept of G*d's will. We know G*D , "desires not the death of the innocent."

Hey, you say, what would Jesus do ?

Well Jesus is not Mohammad, and Islam is not Christianity. Take it from a practicing"pagan". Most faiths display empathy for their fellow man. Even the ultimate "other", is, if not respected, not slaughtered in ritual or reality.

I do not slaughter Yankees fans. No matter how much they may, or may not deserve it. No matter how many "World Series" they may win, or how much money they F**ing spend. I can honestly say. I have never thought of Slaughtering them.

Of course winning two recently, helps, but nevertheless, I restrained my less then exceptional emotions. We just don't do that to the "other" here. Even if said "other" ,worships the New York Yankees as his "GOD". it's sort of, Ok

Narrated Anas: The Prophet offered the Fajr Prayer near Khaibar when it was still dark and then said, "Allahu-Akbar! Khaibar is destroyed, for whenever we approach a (hostile) nation (to fight), then evil will be the morning for those who have been warned." Then the inhabitants of Khaibar came out running on the roads. The Prophet had their warriors killed, their offspring and woman taken as captives. Safiya was amongst the captives, She first came in the share of Dahya Alkali but later on she belonged to the Prophet . The Prophet made her manumission as her 'Mahr'.
SahihBukhari 5:59:512

The "perfect man" (in Islamic theology 68:4) is a mass murderer, rapist, war criminal, slaver who also ethnically cleansed those who did not submit. (to summit is to become a muslim)

How are the actions of the Janjaweed different, than the example set by Mohammad ? In his own action, against the Jews of Khaibar. As opposed with Dily, the Holy warrior, Janjaweed- jihadi from the Sudan ?

History
Northeast Sudan, called Nubia in ancient times, was colonized by Egypt about 2000 BC and was ruled by the Cush kingdom from the 8th cent. BC to the 4th cent AD Most of Nubia was converted to Coptic Christianity in the 6th cent., but by the 15th cent. Islam prevailed. In 1821 the north was conquered by Egypt, but a revolt by the nationalist Mahdi in 1881 forced an Egyptian withdrawal. In the 1890s an Anglo-Egyptian force under Herbert Kitchener destroyed the theocratic Mahdist state, and in 1899 most of Sudan came under the joint rule of Egypt and Britain (with Britain exercising actual control).

Independence was achieved in 1956. In 1955 the animist southerners, fearing that the new nation would be dominated by the Muslim north, began a civil war that lasted 17 years. In 1972 Pres. Muhammad Gaafar al-Nimeiry ended the war by granting the south a measure of autonomy.

However, his imposition of Islamic law on the entire country in 1983 reopened the conflict, and close to 2 million have died since, many from starvation.

Nimeiry was deposed by a military coup in 1986. A short-lived civilian government was overthrown in 1989 by Lt. Gen. Omar Hassan al-Bashir; he officially became president in 1993 and was elected to the post in 1996. Bashir's government reinstituted Islamic law, banned opposition parties, and jailed dissidents. Throughout the 1990s the army mounted offensives against the rebels in S Sudan; several cease-fires were announced to allow the distribution of food to famine victims, but they did not hold.

In recent years Sudan has supported Muslim fundamentalists internationally.

no more trolling

the coh will now be strictly enforced.

back to the article.

here in link ( little voice, in the head )I raise a question. Who is Allah ?

Volume 6, Book 60, Number 311:

Narrated Aisha:

I used to look down upon those ladies who had given themselves to Allah's Apostle and I used to say, "Can a lady give herself (to a man)?" But when Allah revealed: "You (O Muhammad) can postpone (the turn of) whom you will of them (your wives), and you may receive any of them whom you will; and there is no blame on you if you invite one whose turn you have set aside (temporarily).' (33.51)

I said (to the Prophet), "I feel that your Lord hastens in fulfilling your wishes and desires."

a second source is this, it is called the "Sifat of Sayyidina Rasulallah"

Mercy to all mankind
Hadrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) said: the Prophet (may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) was asked to curse the infidels. He said, "I have not been sent to curse people but as a mercy to all mankind." (Muslim)

Mother of faithful believers Hadrat Aisha

the child bride Aisha said

(may Allah be pleased with her) said that she once asked the Holy Prophet (may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him): 'Did you face a day severer than the day of the battle of Uhud? 'He answered: 'Yes I have experienced such things at the hands of your people and such a day was the day of Aqabah. On this day I presented myself to Abdilail bin AbdKulal and offered him Islam, but he failed to make any responce to what I had offered to him. I therefore, left with a heavy heart and depressed. I felt some relieft only when I reached QarnSa'alib. Here I looked up and saw a cloud covering me. In this cloud I saw Angel Jibril (peace be upon him) who called me and said: Allah, the Most High, has heard what your people have said to you and the response to your offer.

Allah has now sent the Angel of the Mountains to you to carry out your orders.

why is G*d ,"allah" carrying out the orders of a man ?

does Mohammad, have pictures of Allah having sex with a goat ? if so where did he get them ?

to do what you might like to be done to them.

Then the Angel of the Mountains addressed me greeting with Salam and then said: 'Muhammad! Allah (The Glorified and the Exalted) has heard what your people have said to you. I am the Angel of the Mountains and my Lord has sent me to you to carry out your orders.

again we see "allah" is the servant of Mohammad. I will call this, more than a little strange.

What do you want now to be done?

if Mohammad wants it. "allah" is the servant of Mohammad and will obey

If you like I may crush them between the two mountains encircling the city of Makka.

G*d, "allah" is just waiting to hear what Mohammad wants

The Holy Prophet (may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) replied: (I do not want their destruction) I am still hopeful that Allah will make some of their children (good Muslims) who would worship Allah, the One, without associating anybody with Him. (Bukhari and Muslim).

And 'allah" listened to the wise counsel of Mohammad, verily Mohammad is all knowing all wise

we all except that orthodox Muslims don't drink alcohol or eat pork. Mohammad said not to. They submit. In this link Darwa. you will see a child beatten and chained.

why in g*ds name, would somebody do that, you ask

Book 2, Number 0495:

Narrated Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-'As:

The Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) said: Command your children to pray when they become seven years old, and beat them for it (prayer) when they become ten years old; and arrange their beds (to sleep) separately.

http://darfurinformation.com/darfur-in-perspective/page-5.asp

Now, in the politically correct world, we live in today, how would we describe Mohammad ?

he was an Arab, he attacked on horseback, and used the moderen of weapons of his day. A sword

in 623 throughout 625 or so, he (Mohammad) was raiding the caravans of Mecca. Killing the Jewish tribes of Medina. He burnt alive the husband of Safiya of Khaibar, then he married her.

Do women find attractive the man who killed, the man they were married to ?

Would a woman voluntarily have sex with the murderer the same night ? Or would that be called a rape

if you read this link you will see some similarities between Dily, the Holy warrior, Janjaweed- jihadi from the Sudan and the prophet.

discouraging news to report

Amum, secretary general of the south's ruling Sudan People's Liberation Movement (SPLM), on Saturday told journalists in Khartoum the north was arming and training militias to try and topple the southern government before secession.

Senior National Congress Party (NCP) official Rabie Abdelati dismissed the accusation as "ridiculous."

"ridiculous" was the words often used to describe the actual and ongoing genocide, that has been largely ignored in the MSM

On Sunday, Amum told journalists in the southern capital Juba: "The NCP have been arming Arab tribes along the border of the north and south ... so they carry out genocide like they have done to the African people in Darfur. This is what they want to do again.

"We call on the Security Council to stop this genocide which is impending ... This policy of genocide must stop."

Declaration of Jihad Against African Sudanese
A Fatwa from Kordofan
Bismillahi Al-Rahmani Al-Raheem
(In the Name of Allah the Beneficient the Merciful)

Praise be to Allah, and due prayers and peace be unto the messenger of Allah.

The conference of the Ulmah (scholars in Islamic Studies), the imams of mosques, and the sheikhs of the Sufi sects in the State of Kordofan, which was held at the Peoples Committee Hall, in El-Obaeid, on 24 Shawl 1413 (the Muslim hijrah calendar), which corresponds with 27 April 1993, hereby issue the following Fatwa about the imperativeness of mobilizing for jihad (holy war) in order to fight in the war, which is taking place in the Southern part of Kordofan State and in Southern Sudan, and therefore resolve the following:

1. The rebels in Southern Kordofan or in Southern Sudan have rebelled against the state and have waged war against Muslims, with their prime objective being the killing and massacring of Muslims, the destruction of mosques, the burning copies of the Quran, and violating the honor and dignity of Muslims, while the rebels are being driven and instigated by the enemies of Islam from amongst the Zionists, the Christian Crusaders, and the forces of arrogance, who have been supplying them with food and
arms. Therefore, the rebels who are Muslims and are fighting against the state are hereby declared apostates from Islam, and the non-Muslims are hereby declared Kaffirs (infidels) who have been standing up against the efforts of preaching, proselytization, and spreading Islam into Africa. However, Islam has justified the fighting and the killing of both categories without any hesitation whatsoever with the following Quranic evidence; Allah said "Oh you who believe, if there will be anyone who becomes an apostate from amongst yourselves away from Islam, Allah will bring about another nation who will love him and he loves them, of those
who are humble towards the believers, and proud (in their behavior) above the Kaffirs (infidels), they will struggle in jihad for the sake of Allah, and will not heed to any blame which may be leveled against them by anyone. This is the favor of Allah which he gives to whom he wishes, and that Allah is omnipresent, and all knowing".

2. Another Quranic evidence, which supports the stated position, is what Allah has said, "They will continue to fight you (i.e. the enemies of Islam), until you abandon your religion if they could get you to do so, and whoever abandons his religion from amongst you, may them and their deeds becomes defunct and a waste here in this life and in the hereafter; surely, they will be condemned permanently to the fire of Hell".

3. The justification for killing the rebels, is further supported by what Allah has said in the Quran: "Oh, the prophet of Allah,(i.e. Mohamed), wage jihad against the Kaffirs and the hypocrites, and be tough and heavy handed with them, as they will destined to Jahannum, and to a fate of misery".

4. The justification for fighting and killing the rebels, is further justified and supported by what the messenger of Allah, Peace be Upon Him, had said; "Whoever attempts to divide you, the unity of your purpose, and/or the unity of your Muslim groups or peoples; kill him". A statement reported by a Hadith Chronologist called "Muslim".

5. Our greatest example in fighting against apostates, is the first Khalifah Abu Bakre El-Siddig, may the blessing of Allah be upon him, who fought against some of the Arabs who deserted Islam .In his most famous statement, he said: "In the name of Allah (swearingly), I will fight those who may differentiate between salat (prayers) and zakat (payment of taxes)"; i.e. those who may fulfill one act of worship and lapse on the other. He also said: "In the name of Allah (swearingly), if the apostates and deserters of religious duties will refuse to pay up a "camel" in tax which they used to pay during the time of the messenger of Allah, peace upon him; I will fight them until they continue to pay these dues". In our Islamic history and heritage, there was also the war, which was waged by the Khalifah (successor), Ali Bin Abi Talib, in the battle of "Saffaine".

6. As for those Muslims who cooperate with the rebels, and try to question or doubt the Islamic justifiability of Jihad, are hereby classified as "hypocrites", who are no longer Muslims, and also "apostates" from the religion of Islam; and that they will be condemned permanently to the fire of Hell.

The Quranic verses which support these claims and our position in general, include the following: "The hypocrites will be condemned to the lowest and worst parts of hell fire"; and what Allah has also said: "Forewarn all the hypocrites that very painful experiences will be inflicted upon them, those who take the kaffirs for guidance and leadership other than those who believe in Allah, hoping to have through them dignity and wealth; surely, all the dignity and wealth belong to Allah".

Signed on behalf of the conference by:

1. Sheikh Musa Abdulmajeed.
2. Sheikh Mishawir Gummah Sahal.
3. Sheikh Mohamed Salih Abdulbagi
4. Sheikh Quraishi Mohamed al-Kur
5. Sheikh al-Nayer Ahmed El-Tayib

From Ebony magazine

African-American leaders mobilize to help

SOME say it's genocide, others say it's religious persecution, still others say it's all about money and oil.

Whatever it's about, the reported existence of the buying and selling of human beings in Sudan--Africa's largest and poorest country--in the 21st century has triggered an international furor and is fueling a mushrooming movement of protest by African-American leaders and celebrities.

According to reports, thousands of Sudanese Blacks are being sold for from $10 to $100, and villages and communities in southern Sudan are being plundered.

The Satellite Sentinel Project images show what appear to be freshly dug sites in South Kordofan state, where Sudan's Arab military has been targeting a black ethnic minority loyal to the military of the newly independent Republic of South Sudan. A witness told the project that he saw 100 bodies or more put into one of the pits.

Most westerners have no idea as to the degree of atrocities committed on the blacks in the south ....

It continues still now, in stops and starts, unabated ,unreported, and unapologetically it slowly but surely, ends the life of our fellow man in truly staggering numbers.

Seventeen South Sudanese civilians have been killed during air raids by Sudan's military, an official has told the BBC.

South Sudan's military spokesman Philip Aguer said those killed were cattle herders in West Bahr al-Ghazal state – further west than other recent clashes.

As usual Christian missionaries stirring up the Sudanese Christians in an economically motivated land grab for oil. They did this in Biafra, Nigeria,

Hi, could I introduce you to reality.

http://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-431142.0.html 71 % of Nigerian Muslims want sharia law. they must have read Quran 9:29

These Christians like many Christians in Nigeria did not, and will not submit. http://www.anglicandioceseofjos.org/dogo.html (disturbing photos of dead Christians)

Quran http://www.islamawakened.com/Quran/7/4/default.htm may provide a clue why

How many a township have We destroyed! As a raid by night, or while they slept at noon, Our terror came unto them.

strait from Nigeria

http://emeagwali.com/interviews/sharia/crisis-in-nigeria.html

EMEAGWALI:The killing of 50,000 Igbos in northern Nigeria was, in part, due to religious and ethnic differences. Millions of Igbos (including my family) fled to southeastern Nigeria. My family and I lived in Biafran refugee camps during the 30-month civil war. I have posted additional Biafra- related information at:

http://www.emeagwali.com/photos/biafra/photo-essay-on-biafra.html.

The roots of the present crisis, I believe, started with a lack of understanding of the Nigerian constitution. As an aside, Nigerian officials invited me to contribute my thoughts on the Nigerian constitution and my 10,000-word statement was posted at http://emeagwali.com/interviews/nigerian-constitution/constitution.html

The Nigerian constitution stipulates that we are Nigerians first and then Muslims (or Christians) second. However, some fanatic northern Nigerian elected officials are insisting that Muslims are Muslims first and Nigerians second and, therefore, are entitled to live by the sharia Islamic law. The contradiction is these elected officials were elected through a secular constitution that is the supreme legal document of the land. Each official swore to uphold the constitution. After being elected, some Muslim officials now want that constitution subordinate to sharia law. Proponents of sharia argue that the constitution guarantees freedom of religion while opponents argue that freedom of religion does not mean that Islam will be the state religion and take precedence over the constitution. When a northern Nigerian state adopts Islam as the state religion, it in fact puts the state above the nation and its constitution. In other words, "freedom of religion" does not entitle some northern states to create an Islamic state within the secular state of Nigeria. More specifically, the Nigerian constitution does not permit the adoption of Christianity or Islam as the state religion.

just say NO to sharia law,it's a killer

Sharia Law is subordinate to the constitution and to impose it as the supreme law of a state is equivalent to violating and overthrowing the constitution. It is nonsensical for sharia to be superior to the constitution and to operate two sets of contradictory laws in any state, even if most of the state residents want sharia.

Now I am not sure, but I believe that the populations is split 50/50 somewhat, Christian and Muslim in Nigeria. The Igbos are called the Black Jews Of Africa,as they come from Ethiopia and were at one time in the southern Sudan as well.In real life Islamic theology, Christians and Jews are not in fact, respected.http://tafsir.com/default.asp?sid=1&tid=523

I linked the Quranic verses in there for you

(Those (Jews) who incurred the curse of Allah and His wrath) (5:60).

G*d hates Jews ? and people say it's the same G*d (LOL) funny they are. Uninformed ,but funny

The attribute that the Christians deserve most is that of being led astray, just as Allah said about them,

[قَدْ ضَلُّواْ مِن قَبْلُ وَأَضَلُّواْ كَثِيراً وَضَلُّواْ عَن سَوَآءِ السَّبِيلِ]

(Who went astray before and who misled many, and strayed (themselves) from the right path) (5:77).

to regain the path, they must become Muslim

mike, did you know what happened to the people of Bangladesh

"It all started with Operation Searchlight, a planned military pacification carried out by the Pakistan Army started on 25 March, 1971 to curb the Bengali nationalist movement by taking control of the major cities on March 26, and then eliminating all opposition, political or military, within one month. Before the beginning of the operation, all foreign journalists were systematically deported from Bangladesh. The main phase of Operation Searchlight ended with the fall of the last major town in Bengali hands in mid May.

According to New York Times (3/28/71) 10,000 people were killed; New York Times (3/29/71) 5,000-7,000 people were killed in Dhaka; The Sydney Morning Herald (3/29/71) 10,000 – 100,000 were killed; New York Times (4/1/71) 35,000 were killed in Dhaka during operation searchlight.

The operation also began the 1971 Bangladesh atrocities. These systematic killings served only to enrage the Bengalis, which ultimately resulted in the secession of East Pakistan later in December, 1971. The international media and reference books in English have published casualty figures which vary greatly; 200,000–3,000,000 for Bangladesh as a whole.

kpr37 Bangladesh was an Indian terrorist operation. The Indian trained and financed terrorist Mukti Bahini attacked the Pakistan Army. The leader of the Mukti Bahini, Mujibur Rahman, was assassinated by the Bengalis. The western press took the figures of the people killed from the 1970 Bhola Cyclone, one of the deadliest disasters in modern times, and falsely attributed the deaths to the Pakistan Army. kpr37 your post is ignorant garbage.

Bangladesh was an Indian terrorist operation.

yoy dont think we are that stupid do you

Pakistan is unkind toward the "other"

Operation Searchlight was a planned military extermination carried out by the Pakistan Army to curb the Bengali nationalist movement in erstwhile East Pakistan in March 1971. Ordered by the government in West Pakistan, this was seen as the sequel to "Operation Blitz" which had been launched in November 1970. The original plan envisioned taking control of the major cities on March 26, and then eliminating all opposition, political or military, within one month. Prolonged Bengali resistance was not anticipated by Pakistani planners. The main phase of Operation Searchlight ended with the fall of the last major town in Bengali hands in mid-May. The operation also precipitated the 1971 Bangladesh atrocities. These systematic killings enraged Bengalis, who declared independence from Pakistan, and caused refugees to flee to India.

The violence resulting from Operation Searchlight was one of the precipating factors of the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971, which led to full fledged Indian retaliation augmented by the Mukti Bahini on Pakistani occupation forces in Bangladesh, resulting in Pakistan Army's unconditional surrender to the joint command of Indian Armyand Mukti Bahini on December 16, 1971.

    Background

After the Awami Leaguehad won a decisive majority (capturing 167 out of 300 seats) in the 1970 Pakistan parliamentary elections, the Bengali population expected a swift transfer of power to the Awami League based on the Six Point Programme. On February 28, 1971, Yahya Khan, the President of Pakistan, postponed the national assembly meeting scheduled for March. The Awami League, in response to the postponement, launched a program of non cooperation (largely outlined in the March 7th Awami League rally) which was so successful that the authority of the Pakistan government became limited to the cantonments and government institutions in East Pakistan. Clashes between civilians and the Pakistani Army, and between Bengali and Biharicommunities erupted and became commonplace. President Yahya Khan flew to Dhakato hold talks with Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, leader of the Awami League in March, and was later joined by Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, then the leader of Pakistan Peoples Party, which had secured the second largest share of seats in the elections. Unwilling to transfer power to the Awami League (fearing a transfer of power would erode the economic dominance of West Pakistan), or to lose face by backing down in face of the non cooperation movement, the Pakistani generals decided on a military crackdown

the Pakistani generals decided on a military crackdown, India only helped in stopping the genocide

mike some of the mind set responsible for the genocide in Bangladesh can be found in the violent rejection of the "other" found in the Islamic doctrine of jihad

here is a very important article about a book "the Quranic concept of war"

while you should always be friendly with your Muslim neighbours. Show Islam in it's Political nature, sharia law, and it's theocratic principals, the well deserved contempt it's clear actions call for.

    from the article

"Zia-Ul-Haq (1924-88), the former President of Pakistan and Pakistani Army Chief of Staff, opens the book by focusing on the concept of jihad within Islam and explaining it is not simply the domain of the military:"

Jehad fi sabilallah is not the exclusive domain of the professional
soldier, nor is it restricted to the application of military force
    alone.

This book brings out with simplicity, clarity and precision the
Quranic philosophy on the application of military force within the
context of the totality that is JEHAD. The professional soldier in
a Muslim army, pursuing the goals of a Muslim state, cannot become
'professional' if in all his activities he does not take the 'colour
of Allah,' The nonmilitary citizen of a Muslin state must, likewise,
be aware of the kind of soldier that his country must produce and
the only pattern of war that his country's armed forces may wage.
    (14)

General Zia states that all Muslims play a role in jihad, a mainstream concept of the Quran, that jihad in terms of warfare is a collective responsibility of the Muslim ummah, and is not restricted to soldiers. General Zia emphasizes how the concept of Islamic military professionalism requires "godly character" in order to be fully achieved. Zia then endorses Malik's thesis as the "only pattern of war," or approach to war that an Islamic state may wage.

Watching religous programs on TV, I have learned that interpretations have huge significance with scriptures.

One way to prove a point would be to look at Shakespear and the phrase, To die for.

This is very different than loss of life.

The interpretations need clarification before judgement. And it will be easier to mingle than to divide the world to two classes of religions, So we need to make them compatible with each other. If I were your boss, "Make it work!"

Same with the antique economies of the world trading an participating in business with newer, More modern economies. Make them compatible. Make them work!

    Hello kpr37,

    Thanks for the heads up.

There is one basic fact about Islam that I know for sure: The foundation of their faith comes from the Torah, the first five books of the Old Testament. That of course includes the "Ten Commandments," and number five says, "Thou shalt not kill."

So, all of the splinter groups, denominations, or whatever they are called do not represent the true Muslim faith.

This article is very well documented but I don't have the will to do anything about: Sudan and environs. It is germane when we talk about Israel and Palestine, and I am not very savvy about much of that one thousand year fight.

the only source I have found for the Islamic faith, are the claims of Mohammad.

I am well versed in the Quran and hadith and can quote them

it does not make me a prophet.

Did you read comment 1.3. I think it is " the Who is Allah comment" ?

while I am a "pagan" it's still a weird form of monotheism.

and I reject the" ideology of Allah", as Godly

if, Islam is true. That means that Abraham , Mosses and Jesus were all Muslims and preached Islam.

Leading to the Islamic claim. That the followers of the faith were evil and corrupted the word, thats why Allah sent the Quran the uncorrupted word of G*d.

to say. you think that ?

There is one basic fact about Islam that I know for sure: The foundation of their faith comes from the Torah

Some more information on Islam as the replacement of all other faith.

    Question:

Dear scholars, As-salamu `alaykum. Was there Islam before Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) was sent as a prophet to mankind? I pose this question because I wonder what the following verse refers to: (Ibrahim was not a Jew nor a Christian, but he was (an) upright (man), a Muslim, and he was not one of the polytheists) (Aal `Imran 3: 67). Jazakum Allahu khayran.

    Answer:

Wa `alaykum As-Salamu wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
All praise and thanks are due to Allah; peace and blessings be upon His Messenger.
Dear brother in Islam, we really appreciate your forwarding this question to us, and we commend your keenness on getting yourself well-acquainted with the teachings of Islam. May Allah help us all keep firm on the Right Path, Ameen!

In fact, the essence of all the prophets’ messages is what Islam calls for: worshiping Almighty Allah alone and rejecting false deities.

Islam is the religion of all prophets; all of them called for what Islam calls for, and so they declared belief in Islam. The message of Islam resembles the messages of all previous prophets of Almighty Allah. Islam completes what was missing in these messages and rectifies the distortions, additions, and misconceptions that befell them. The message of Islam was revealed to confirm whatever Scripture was before it and to verify it.
In his response to your question, the eminent Muslim scholar Sheikh Yusuf Al-Qaradawi states:
The word Islam means a wholehearted submission to the will of Almighty Allah, that is worshiping Him alone and without associating any god with Him Most High. This is the core and essential meaning which Almighty Allah sent with all prophets and messengers. Islam, in this sense, is the religion of all prophets, and any other religion [that does not believe in this principle] is not a heavenly one.

This essential meaning of Islam is what Almighty Allah refers to in his words, (And We did not send before you any apostle but We revealed to him that there is no god but Me, therefore, serve Me.) (Al-Anbiyaa’ 21: 25)

Hence, the essence of all the prophets’ messages is what Islam calls for

if you read more it makes the claim that Jesus proclaimed that he has a Muslim.I'm pretty sure that is contrary to Christian teaching ? (LOL)

I always wondered, if this was the case, why didn't Allah made easier on all of us, and made them all spread Islam, instead of Judaism, and Christianity. At least he would have saved all of us from these differences among us. Or maybe he just likes us devided, confused, and hating each others for any, and every reason.

Nice work....not to go off subject...but if we have this today...not sure about that Crusades comparison......just wondering.....

The biggest problem, to my way of thinking, is that the concept just does not compute with most Americans.....A religion being the focus of a movement involved in massacres, in this day and age, and against tolerance and freedom? This simply cannot be.

There is an out of print book, "People of the Lie" that I would recommend to any who accept that human nature as an exercise of free will until so many lazy, self-serving choices have been made as to make true self-reflection obstensively non-existent. At that point, there is only scapegoating in response to criticism (Sarah Palin). Some "religious" people are the most "evil". Some "non-believers", because of their humility and self-reflection, are "pleasant places" for God to inhabit.

It doesn't matter whether these people profess a certain religion, or none at all. What matters is honoring life (or "liveliness"). This, in ways means, respect for truth and acknowledging our inner voice which has revulsion of those that naturally revolt us (a mummer of The Holy Spirit). We revolt, because fascism is anti-life and Islam is fascist.

In the end, as Socrates asserted, "the unexamined life is not worth living". The internal journey toward Truth, the dismissal of dogma ("religion") and external control by others, freedom of our "selves" is what is required.

I can cry for the dead of Sudan. But I don't. In my Father's house, there are many rooms. Why would I want them to suffer this life? They are, in large parts, innocents. This is a massacre of innocents. There are better places for the hopeless than what our senses can perceive. Check out NDEF, if you do not understand that five senses do not define our world, but limit our understanding of it.

    And the killing continues

Sudan 'bombs refugees' in South Sudan's Unity state
Residents say five bombs hit the camp

South Sudanese officials have condemned Sudan after an aerial bombardment of a refugee camp in their territory.

The BBC's James Copnall was at the Yida camp in oil-rich Unity State, which borders Sudan, when it was bombed.

Local official Miabek Lang said at least 12 people had been killed and 20 wounded

New arrivals, newswise, push older stories out. Unfortunate.

As an aside...now think of what the Prez etc are dealing with on a daily basis.

A lot of people don't pay attention to news stopries when the victims are black Africans...

(Btw, there was a new story about the Sudanese attempted genocide of the South sudanese that appeared today:

Might this reference in the Bible be addressing this phenomena in Christian South Sudan?

Revelation 6:7 And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see. 8 And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth. 9 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: 10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? 11 And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

Scripture reference is from the computer-based King James Version of the Holy Bible called The Word, available for free from www.theword.net
